EMERGENCY STEPS

Kick-starting The Blog
1. Refresh (F5) or Ctrl-F5
2. Clear cache (delete temporary Internet files) and cookies in Tools-Internet Options.
3. Add a question mark to the end of your blog's internet address in the address box and see if it will show the latest update. (Can also be done with other people's url's in the address window.)
4. Republish (if in classic Blogger)
5. Reboot
6. Log out and log back in again (may change to an untroubled server)
7. Change browser (IE, Firefox, others)

---Not necessary to do all of these at once!---

Blogger may make problems for some computers about accepting cookies, especially when you are using the new versions of Internet Explorer or Firefox browsers. Difficulties with accepting scripts may be caused by security systems, antivirus programs, firewalls, and some add-ons. Check all your settings.

You may need to change your browser settings, or to list www.blogger.com and blogger.com as "trusted sites" in your Internet Options-Security so that scripting can occur.

Write Blogger Support

Inform Blogger Support of your problem. Give as much detail as you can for them to understand. Don't waste your time cursing them. If they don't help you instantly, they may take a while to get to you, but eventually a human will reply instead of the robot.

The Main Blogger contact is Slow Poke Blogger Support.

You probably have to keep notifying them; Their first response is always an automated reply. If their first response gives you a number, reference it every time you write back!

  1. Much appreciated... I think I will leave a portion of my email to them on the link on the board for all to see.

Perhaps others will continue to help me.

Most appreciated and love your site.

  2. I could access my blog dashboard with no problem from the UNIVERSITY that I attend but when I come home and try to start working, I have a problem...

I log onto Blogger and get the DASHBOARD but the page looks as if its printing overitself in some areas (text on top of text) and it will not let me edit or get into any of my blogs (I have two).

    Suggestion?

  4. Hey, teacher: Does your home computer stay on all the time? I guess maybe you've already cleared the cache, deleted cookies, refreshed, and restarted the computer? Is any of that "double print" going on in other programs on your computer? You've probably already thought of these things. Sigh. Does it do that every time? I don't recognize the symtoms. Blogger advises that if you log out and back in again, you may get a better server the next time--try it, if you haven't. I'm flummoxed. For now, at least.
