| How to hide the Blogger Navbar at the top and why not to: Hide Navbar! http://blogger-tricks.blogspot.com/2006/04/tip-hiding-navbar.html |
| OR FOR NEW BLOGGER |

| The css is defined between <b:skin>/* and </b:skin>
So put the following 5 lines of code in the css: #navbar-iframe { height:0px; visibility:hidden; display:none } before: </b:skin> Despite references above or arguments against it, I no longer recommend caution about hiding the Navbar because Blogger has no right to inflict the violence or pornography that Next Blog sometimes inflicts on users. They should make that aspect of the Navbar optional for us so that schools, churches, and old ladies of every kind can choose not to play if they don't want to. |

Hey! Just wanna say thanks for the code to hide the navbar! It worked great!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the code! I was now able to do a blog for my daughter's dance group without fearing "next blog" unknowns.
ReplyDeleteAnyone...I am trying to hide the navbar to block the "next-blog" access with no luck...I have the script code on top of the nav bar but it is still there? Can any one help...some very gross blogs come up!
ReplyDeleteJanet
Your the man bro that works great for me for real. Your the one.
ReplyDeleteThanks
Thank you for the code. I work with jr. high students and this saved me. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteMFBQ I am a real newbie and need help. I just withdrew 40 invitations to post due to nightmares with blocking "next blog." I need step by step directions to block it. I don't understand the stuff about codes. I am using the newest version on Blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteEmail me about it.
ReplyDeleteMan, THANKS so much for this information! I am a teacher and did a quick search on how to fix this problem. Your info came right up and your directions are extremely easy to follow. Thanks a million for sharing your skills and saving my career. Still can't believe the porn came up on my site so fast.
ReplyDeleteRon,
ReplyDeleteThanks for your help. You are a lifesaver.
Great. Worked seamlessly. I'm glad all the information in the world is at my finger tips! Thanks again.
ReplyDeleteI found the adult content today. It is not a small problem. It seemed half the time 'next blog' took me to a site with adult content. I'm not
ReplyDeleteeasily offended, but I don't want links to adult content on sites that I create. It seems that the Blogger TOS of service are quite clear concerning adult content. I'll remove
the navbar and hope that Blogger understands. Thanks for the help.
Phil
Thank you very much! Very helpful! I never liked that bar. You are right. Blooger can not force us to have that navigation bar. I am sick and tired of these blooger porn pages that come up whenever you press next. Woh! anyway. take care.!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh!
ReplyDeleteYour suggestion on how to remove the header worked great!
Thanks so Much!
It works!
ReplyDeleteThanks. Finally i get rid of navbar.
Great code and keep the good work.
We need you around.
Ok this works great however how do I customize my site without the navbar showing? The Customize link is in the navbar.
ReplyDeleteHow can you customize your site w/o the navbar? Customize is in the navbar.
ReplyDeleteWell, that's the problem, isn't it? It's the donkey and the "carrot". If you don't want the smelly donkey, you can't get the carrot! I dismissed worrying about this some time ago, but maybe I should research it a little more. I'm not that deep a coder or hacker, but I know a few who are and who might have investigated this more than I did. Don't hold your breath!
ReplyDeleteHey, what a good life saver! No doubt about it, your comprehensive information on how to hide the navbar is fully appreciated! It really does feel real good once the input of codes works well on the first try. Surely, it allows me to focus on sharing more useful videos on my own blog.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the awesome work, man!
Everybody passes out this info, but it's good to hear from a satisfied person!
ReplyDeleteThanks So Much, I really appreciate the help. Now next blog stuff won't give my visitor my blog http://ngcareers.com unrelated contents
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure what your last remark referred to, but it's a common misunderstanding among new bloggers to think that private info (like your email) and quick-edit icons are viewable by everyone when they are only visible to the blog owner (when he is logged in). Glad you got some good out of this old post, though!
ReplyDeleteAalcoholic
