EMERGENCY STEPS

Kick-starting The Blog
1. Refresh (F5) or Ctrl-F5
2. Clear cache (delete temporary Internet files) and cookies in Tools-Internet Options.
3. Add a question mark to the end of your blog's internet address in the address box and see if it will show the latest update. (Can also be done with other people's url's in the address window.)
4. Republish (if in classic Blogger)
5. Reboot
6. Log out and log back in again (may change to an untroubled server)
7. Change browser (IE, Firefox, others)

---Not necessary to do all of these at once!---

Blogger may make problems for some computers about accepting cookies, especially when you are using the new versions of Internet Explorer or Firefox browsers. Difficulties with accepting scripts may be caused by security systems, antivirus programs, firewalls, and some add-ons. Check all your settings.

You may need to change your browser settings, or to list www.blogger.com and blogger.com as "trusted sites" in your Internet Options-Security so that scripting can occur.

Bx Error Codes

I am placing this info above the older information below; this may be of more help to you. It's a Blogger form to report to and maybe find out what your particular BX code may mean:

Form for BX error codes:

I've never yet understood what Blogger thinks we can do (at Blogger Help Group) with these bx error codes. They are evidently working up a more organized system, but I haven't been let in on it yet!

After hearing from Chuck the nitecruzr, I learned that if you search for instance for bX-x082n7 in the Help Group, you'll find a large # of threads concerning the same topic with the same ID--failure to post or failure to save a draft. But so far I've seen no great information on it. Though Blogger Employee keeps telling us that they're on the case, for me this is too much of having to guess my way through their new problem-solving system!

Use the search feature yourself to search for your ID, but I don't know if you can discover much. The complaints are all about the same, and most people don't provide detailed enough info about what they were doing like Blogger asked. You may not learn more than you yourself observed.

If you haven't already, send your ID and other info to Blogger Support and hope that they can sort it out.

  1. Well, since I have been on the "bx error code case" new information is popping up all the time.

Recently one of the blogger.com articles has said that while they have managed to solve some of the bx error codes new ones will also be cropping up! So it seems to becoming a "vicious" circle as far as the whole bx error code issue is concerned.

However there have been a few "bright" spots. For one Blogger.com has said that a lot of these bx error codes are temporary. And there have been a few people - like myself - who have found ways to get out of the bx error code screen altogether!

so maybe a solution from Blogger.com will come sooner than we know!

  2. It's feasible to take that positive attitude, although I do not. I have never appreciated Blogger dumping this stupid bx code business onto the BHG, as if any of us could really be of much use. It's Blogger's tarbaby and I hope I can keep my hands entirely free of it! If Blogger's robots can help them get a handle on them, one by one, as people report the codes, that's good. But I no longer want to know about them.
